As you embark on this empowering journey, we’ve compiled essential tips to optimize your weight loss on compounded Semaglutide. Tips for Weight Loss on compounded Semaglutide:

1. Educate Yourself on Semaglutide:

Understand the power of compounded Semaglutide in regulating appetite and promoting a sense of fullness. Knowledge is your first line of defense in this battle for a healthier you.

Our goal is to use Semaglutide as a tool to aid in optimizing metabolic health, controlling cravings, and improving satiety, but the heart of our program is making nutrition and lifestyle adjustments to allow for continued weight management off medication.

2. Consultation and Monitoring:

The consultation process, which you may have already completed, is designed to give you the information you need to determine if the AB Modern Warrior Program is right for you.  Once you have been enrolled in the program, your monitoring can occur in the following ways:  

1)  Check-ins weekly with our weight loss coaches through the Body Site App, during which your coach reviews the macro data you entered during the week, any side effects from the medication, and make recommendations on dosing titration for the following week.  

2)  Check-ins weekly with our weight loss coaches through a ZOOM call or in-person at our office.  These check-ins will also involve the coach reviewing your macro data, side effects, and dosing titration, but will also include counseling on specific food choices, the role sleep, stress, lifestyle, and exercise play in weight management with specific recommendations to impact these areas of your life.  For patients who struggle with autoimmune diseases, multiple food sensitivities, recurrent GI symptoms (bloating, diarrhea, constipation) or disordered eating, the weekly ZOOM or in-person check-ins will provide you with a much more comprehensive and inclusive approach to wellness and weight loss. 

We also encourage you to keep regular appointments with our healthcare providers, as many factors can influence weight loss (for example thyroid dysfunction, hormone imbalance, stress/cortisol, depression, anxiety, and gut health).  Our providers can help you navigate these areas. 

3. Nutrient-Rich Eating:

AB Modern Day Warrior focuses on tracking macronutrients; however, you will still find you can meet the majority of your macronutrient goals eating ultra processed foods and artificial sweeteners. This is not the goal of AB Modern Day Warrior, rather, we encourage you to eat foods that embrace a balanced, nutrient-rich diet.  Focus on whole foods coming from the earth (vegetables, fruits, whole grains (if appropriate), beans, nuts, seeds, lean proteins, etc) and save the bagged and boxed food and artificial sweeteners for the occasional, not the norm. Focus on whole foods, and consider tracking your macros with the BodySite app for precise nutritional insights.

4. Hydration is Key:

Stay hydrated throughout the day. Water not only supports overall health, kidney and liver function, but can also aid in controlling appetite, complementing your weight loss efforts.

5. Exercise Regularly:

Incorporate both aerobic and strength training exercises into your routine. Skeletal muscle is the primary tissue for maintaining glucose homeostasis.  Strength training improves skeletal muscle’s insulin action and glucose clearance.  Lean muscle mass is also a key factor in allowing for continued weight management off medication. 6. Mindful Eating Habits:

Practice mindful eating. Savor each bite, eat slowly, and avoid distractions. This practice can lead to better food choices and improved satisfaction.

7. Consistent Medication Adherence:

Take Compunded Semaglutide as prescribed by your healthcare professional. Consistency is key to unlocking the full benefits of the program.

8. Set Realistic Goals:

Establish achievable short-term and long-term weight loss goals.  Depending on underlying metabolic factors (insulin resistance, pre-diabetes, PolyCystic Ovarian Syndrome), starting weight/BMI, and desired amount of weight loss, each person will require a unique timeframe to remain on compounded Semaglutide.  Our program is broken down into 3 month increments.  One 3 month “round” may be appropriate for some people and meet desired goals, while others may require 3 or more rounds to achieve desired weight loss.
