Acessa Uterine Fibroids Treatment in Cincinnati

The Acessa Procedure is a minimally invasive uterine fibroids treatment in Cincinnati that provides symptom relief for women that have been living with ongoing pain & discomfort. This treatment for uterine fibroids delivers heat directly into a fibroid causing it to shrink over time using a thin radiofrequency needle. Patient recovery time is much shorter than other invasive treatments for fibroids such as hysterectomies or myomectomies. 94% of women treated said they experienced less symptoms after their Acessa Procedure.

Fibroid Pain Relief

Uterine fibroids are non-cancerous tumors found in the uterus that typically start developing between the ages of 30-50, although they can occur at any age. Common symptoms of fibroids are heavy, painful periods lasting 7+ days with stomach, lower-back & pelvis pain. Depending on the consistency, size & location of the fibroids, they can cause stomach protrusion making women appear pregnant when they aren’t. Additionally fibroids can cause anemia, infertility, painful sex, urinary frequency & G.I. issues.

Acessa® Uterine Fibroids Treatment can help pre-menopausal women address symptoms and fibroid pain that may be interfering with their daily lives.

How does Acessa Uterine Fibroids Treatment work?

During the Acessa Uterine Fibroids Treatment in Cincinnati, fibroids inside the uterus will be exposed to heat while preserving healthy uterine tissue during a laparoscopic surgery. This procedure is not recommended for women who are planning future pregnancy.

The Acessa ProVu system helps to identify & shrink symptomatic uterine fibroids. This process uses a small ultrasound probe to precisely locate the fibroids & a small radiofrequency handpiece that enters the fibroid exposing it to heat and causing it to shrink. The process is repeated until every targeted fibroid is fully treated.
