Z Wave for Cellulite in Cincinnati, Ohio
A Solution for Cellulite.
Almost every woman knows the difference between fat and cellulite. No matter how much we exercise or how much weight we lose, cellulite just doesn’t seem to go away! Luckily, there is a revolutionary treatment called Acoustic Wave Therapy (or Z wave) for cellulite that, according to the American Academy of Dermatology. can reduce the appearance of cellulite.
Z Wave technology delivers energy shockwaves into the area of concern, disrupting the structure of the fatty tissue for smoother, less dimpled skin.
This innovative procedure is designed to be comfortable, quick, and affordable, without the extensive downtime or recovery of more invasive methods.
Reduce Enlarged Fat Cells.
Cellulite is caused when fat cells become enlarged and push outwards into the connective tissue under our skin. Unlike fat which is typically smooth, cellulite appears bumpy, nodular, dimpled, and often described as an “orange peel,” most often located on the buttocks, thighs and abdomen. If you have cellulite, you are not alone—98% of women have cellulite!
The known causes of cellulite are numerous, including: hormonal changes, inactive lifestyle, inflammation, weight gain, rapid weight loss, and genetic predispositions. Diet and exercise may be able to minimize cellulite for some people. However, these dimples often prove resistant to traditional weight loss, and unfortunately, weight loss might make cellulite look worse!

How does Z Wave for cellulite work?
Using acoustic radial wave therapy, our Z Wave in Cincinnati delivers energy into the area of concern through a handheld applicator. By transmitting radial shockwaves into the skin tissue, the energy penetrates the skin and leaves a significant impact on the collagen structure and skin connective tissue. It improves blood circulation, cell rejuvenation, and scar tissue by improving the production of collagen.
In addition to diminishing signs of cellulite, Z Wave technology also may reduce the appearance of stretch marks and enhance the texture of the skin overall.
Process & Results
Z Wave
Step 1.
The Consultation
Before your treatment, you will be assessed by our Body Contouring specialists to ensure you are a candidate for Z Wave therapy in Cincinnati. Initial photos will be taken of the area(s) to be treated.
Step 2.
Treatment
Z Wave uses a hand piece that is placed on the skin delivering pulses of energy. There may be a noise associated with each pulse, but it’s completely painless! The Z-Wave pulses are powerful enough to break down cellulite’s fibrous connective tissue, thereby expediting the extrusion of fatty acids into the blood for natural elimination.
The energy addresses the appearance of cellulite by improving blood circulation and lymphatic flow in the treatment area. It also disrupts the fibrous tissue bands, which cause cellulite, and encourages skin elasticity and firmness.
Step 3.
Relax During the Treatment
Depending on what area is being treated, you may be positioned lying flat on your back or abdomen. Most patients read, listen to music, work on their computer, or simply sit back and relax and watch a movie during their 5 minute treatment session.
Step 4.
Recovery
This non-invasive, pain-free procedure has no downtime and no recovery time. Since its non-surgical, you can stop in at any time throughout your day and return to your normal daily activities, including exercise.
Step 5.
Number of Treatments
The number of treatments required will depend upon the nature and severity of a patient’s condition. To maximize the benefits of Z-Wave therapy, patients typically receive 10 treatments of about 5-10 minutes each.
Step 6.
Results
According to the American Academy of Dermatology, studies show that Z wave therapy can reduce the appearance of cellulite. Several treatment sessions are needed to see a difference.
Patients begin noticing shrinkage and a tightening of skin after a couple of treatments, and the smoothing and tightening continue to improve with each successive treatment until maximum results are achieved.
