Kybella is an advanced injectable that can reduce the appearance of mild to moderate fat under the chin. This FDA-approved injectable uses deoxycholic acid, a naturally occurring molecule in the body that helps break down dietary fat to eliminate fat cells. We also offer LipoDissolve, compounded Kybella, as an alternative Kybella treatment. It works in the same way Kybella does and contains the same active ingredient.

First, our aestheticians and medical providers will determine if Kybella is the right treatment for you. We’ll discuss the treatment process and recovery.

When we book Kybella, we schedule the treatment as a 2-treatment package. Most patients respond best to Kybella when they get 2 treatments spaced 6 weeks apart.

Kybella Procedure

Before we start the treatment, your physician will mark the area where the injections go. Next, we’ll apply lidocaine to the area and wait 15 minutes for its numbing effects to work. Then, we’ll clean the area and add a temporary grid to allow for precise injections.

The injections take 5 minutes to complete. Once the medical provider is done, they will remove the temporary grid with alcohol and apply ice to the area for 15 minutes.

Kybella Recovery

Most patients typically take 2 to 3 days to recover. You may experience the following side effects following Kybella:

• Swelling
• Bruising
• Pain
• Numbness
• Redness
• Rarely, facial muscle weakness or uneven smile

Sclerotherapy

First, we’ll discuss what to do and not do on the day of your appointment. If you have compression stockings, we’ll ask you to bring them to ensure they work for this procedure, or you can purchase them directly from us.

24 hours before the procedure, we’ll ask you to avoid shaving or applying lotion to your legs.

Sclerotherapy Procedure

We’ll start by having you lie on your back with your legs slightly elevated. We’ll clean the area with alcohol, then slowly inject the sclerosing solution into the affected veins. The solution causes the vein to scar, which forces blood to reroute into healthier veins. This procedure typically takes 30 minutes.

Most patients only feel minor stinging during the injections. While we can treat multiple veins during one appointment, we may make additional appointments to address all your needs.

Sclerotherapy Recovery

After your appointment, we’ll ask you to walk around for about 15 minutes to keep blood clots from forming. We also require that you wear compression stockings for the next two weeks to keep the treated veins compressed.

While you can return to normal activities after treatment, we ask that you don’t engage in strenuous exercise for 2 weeks and avoid sun exposure to the treated areas.

Most people see results 3 to 6 weeks after we administer the therapy. We will schedule follow-up appointments to determine if you need additional treatments.

Cosmetic Threading

Our practice uses cosmetic threads to tighten and smooth sagging skin as another option for advanced aesthetics in Cincinnati. This procedure is minimally invasive and lifts the face by using 3 different types of threads that create different results:

Barbed sutures help shape, tighten, and lift the cheek, jowl, and neck.
Smooth sutures treat fine lines, facial scar tissue, large pores, and skin crepes.

Depending on placement, you may experience discomfort eating and talking for 1 to 2 weeks after treatment but can resume normal activity. Pixel CO2 Laser Skin Resurfacing

Pixel CO2 Laser Skin Resurfacing is another minimally invasive procedure that can tighten and smooth your skin and neck. It works by removing columns of skin, these micro-injuries stimulate the body’s natural healing response, leading to collagen production and skin rejuvenation This laser resurfacing treatment can help correct skin with uneven or splotchy tone, sun damage, signs of aging, scars, and large pores.

Before your procedure, you’ll have a consultation during which we’ll assess your skin and make your treatment plan. Most patients get 1 to 3 treatments spaced 8 to 12 weeks apart. A single treatment takes 40 to 60 minutes.

Pixel CO2 Procedure
