How does the PRP Facelift work?
The PRP Facelift in Cincinnati uses platelet rich plasma (PRP), which is isolated from the patient’s own blood using a centrifuge. Activation of the PRP results in release of at least 8 different growth factors that would normally be used to heal injured tissue. Step 1.
The Consultation
The medical professionals at Amy Brenner MD & Associates will perform an extensive consultation to determine the best course of treatment for you. You will be councelled extensively on the PRP Facelift and given instructions on how to prepare for your upcoming procedure.
Step 2.
The Day of your Procedure
First, your blood will be drawn. Using a centrifuge, the blood will be spun to isolate platelets (also known as platelet rich plasma, or PRP). This portion takes approximately 15 minutes in the office. All PRP Facelift treatments are performed by our board certified physicians.
Step 3.
Inject the Filler
Next, your skin will be thoroughly cleansed with alcohol and an antibacterial soap. Next, the physician will inject Hyaluronic Acid (HA) filler in a very specific way to sculpt a younger appearing face, while still keeping your natural shape.
Step 4.
Inject the PRP
Finally, the physician injects the woman’s own growth factors (PRP) back into her face in a particular way to generate new tissue.
Step 5.
Results
Since the PRP Facelift utilizes our body’s own growth factors to rejuvenate tissue, we can expect active regeneration for about 3 months after the procedure. HA fillers typically lasts 1 year. The overall effects of the PRP Facelift can last for over a year.
