Step 1.
Treat the Skin
After cleansing your skin and applying protective eyewear, our physician will treat the desired area. You will feel a warm sensation during treatment. A Zimmer Cooler will be used to ensure comfort during the treatment. Topical numbing medication is not recommended, as can cause the blood vessel to constrict.
Step 2.
Post Treatment
As with any laser treatment, we recommend you avoid sun exposure before and after facial vein treatment, including both sun avoidance and wearing a broad spectrum SFP 30 (or higher). Redness and peeling may occur at the treatment site after a laser treatment for facial veins.
Step 3.
Results
The veins will immediately decrease in appearance, and will often completely resolve. This effect is temporary. A series of 3 treatments is recommended spaced 4 to 6 weeks apart.
