Semaglutide & Weight Loss Program FAQs:

What does Modern Day Warrior Semaglutide Weight Loss Program include?

For weight loss in Cincinnati, the Modern Day Warrior Semaglutide Package includes: a 30-minute initial visit with one of our providers, a prescription (if cleared after blood work) of 8 week supply of weight loss medication (KEEP REFRIGERATED), and sharps container for used syringes.

Is It a Good Fit?

Initial Consultation (30 minutes) with or including a supervising medical provider to review your complete medical history, current medications, and ensure you are an appropriate candidate for the program.

How Does Semaglutide Work for Weight Loss?

When your stomach is full, it releases hormones that tell the brain you’re satisfied. Semaglutide works by stimulating one of these hormones, called glucagon-like peptide-1 (GLP-1). This increase in GLP-1 suppresses your appetite, so you consume fewer calories, feel less hungry, and are more satisfied after meals.

Semaglutide also helps patients lose weight by slowing down the digestive process. After you eat, food gradually moves from your stomach to your small intestines. Semaglutide delays this process so food stays in the stomach for longer and you feel more full.

How Often Are Appointments?

After the initial consultation, the need for appointments varies based on your customized plan. We require yearly in-person check-ins for all our Modern Warrior patients on semaglutide in Cincinnati.

How Long is the Program?

Our semaglutide weight loss program is 8 weeks in length. During this time, we very slowly build up your dose of semaglutide to minimize the risk of side effects. For some patients, an additional 8 weeks of the program may be required. Your provider will determine this on an individual basis.

What if I’m Nervous to Give Myself Injections?

We understand that not everyone is comfortable with the thought of administering injections. Our experienced providers are here to walk you through the process and be sure you feel confident doing it at home. Some patients will come to the clinic for a medical assistant to help administer their first injection, but it’s not necessary. After doing it just once or twice, most patients feel pretty confident with the injections.

Is Semaglutide My Only Option for Weight Loss?

No, semaglutide is not the only option, and it isn’t right for every patient. We offer several peptides and injection options that can help with weight loss in Cincinnati, including:

  • Sermorelin

We also offer Nutrition Programs for those who prefer to forego medications or injections.

During your consultation, our wellness experts can help determine which treatment is most effective for your needs. Visit our page on peptide therapy in Cincinnati to learn more about treatments that can support weight loss. If you’re interested in losing weight without medication, we also offer nutrition-only programs that can help you reach your goal weight.

Who Should Not Take Semaglutide?

We caution patients with kidney disease (elevated creatinine or low GFR) and those with a history of pancreatitis.

Do I Have to Eat Certain Foods?

You don’t need to eat specific foods in our weight loss program. Everyone has different preferences, and we want you to be able to incorporate foods you like into your lifestyle while using semaglutide in Cincinnati.
