About Me
I spent my childhood in a small town called Hinckley, in the suburbs of Cleveland. As the oldest of four, I learned responsibility and accountability early on. From a very young age I knew that I wanted to pursue medicine based on my love for science, however, this idea became solidified my sophomore year at Miami University when a dear friend of mine was diagnosed with testicular cancer. I had experienced healthcare on a professional level, but now I was forced to confront illness on a personal level. From that day forward I set my sights on a career in medicine.
I earned my Medical Doctorate from the Ohio State University in 2004. Yearning to experience life in a big city, I moved to downtown Chicago to complete my residency in Family Medicine at Saint Joseph Hospital/University of Illinois at Chicago. Eight months after moving to Chicago I met my husband, Andrew. We are the proud parents of our daughter, twin sons, and golden retriever. I am board certified in family medicine and a member of the American Academy of Family Practice since 2007.
Prior to joining Dr. Amy Brenner, I spent five years as a family physician for a private practice in Western Springs, IL. As much as I enjoyed seeing patients throughout the lifespan, my passion lies in women’s health care. I look forward to the opportunity to gain your trust and confidence, and help you look and feel your best by providing care of the highest quality.
