In the past few years, opportunities to treat the symptoms that come along with peri-menopause and menopause through health care providers is becoming more prevalent.
Dr. Brenner and Dr. Yas discuss the opportunities at present to help treat a range of menopausal issues such as vaginal dryness and loss of libido. Dr. Yas speaks on the way she approaches the topic of intimacy with her patients and how she integrates therapy, medications and a range of treatments to help women feel better as they navigate the journey into menopause.
Dr. Hajira Yasmin is a Board-Certified OB-GYN with expertise in sexual medicine being an AASECT certified Sexuality Counselor and NAMS (North American Menopause Society) certified Menopause Practitioner. She specializes in treating perimenopause, menopause hormonal balance,
sexual dysfunction in women, vulvovaginal disorders including vulvovaginal pain, skin disorders of the vulva, pelvic pain, and restoring physical intimacy during survivorship care after cancer and conditions like fibromyalgia, diabetes, hypertension, autoimmune disorders, and any other chronic illness. She currently practices in Raleigh, NC.
