DiamondGlow is a medical-grade facial that uses a patented recessed diamond tip as its primary form of skin exfoliation. This gentle-yet-effective tip sloughs away dead skin cells to improve patches of dryness and many other skin concerns, such as:

Exfoliate
The exfoliate step happens directly after a relaxing facial cleanse to get rid of surface-level impurities and debris in the skin. For maximum exfoliation, this step gently removes the outer layer of dead skin cells to reveal new healthy skin from beneath. Your provider will choose the best diamond tip for your skin out of the 6 tip options.
This exfoliation technique also improves typical skin conditions that are most prevalent on the epidermis (outermost layer of skin), like fine lines and wrinkles, hyperpigmentation, and more.
Extract
The extraction phase of DiamondGlow is where this treatment kicks into high gear. We manually remove skin impurities like blackheads that are clogging the pores. Blackheads are most common on the nose, but your provider will carefully examine your skin all over and make sure you’re comfortable throughout the entire facial treatment phase.

Combinable treatments with DiamondGlow
If you’re looking for even further exfoliation for skin rejuvenation, consider adding a dermaplane or a chemical peel to your DiamondGlow facial treatment for the best results!
Dermaplane
Dermaplaning is a type of manual exfoliation. While you might have seen at-home dermaplaning (or sometimes called “dermablading”) tools before, these are not the same as professional dermaplaning, which actually uses a surgical-grade scalpel. Our trained aestheticians gently glide the tool over your skin to sweep away dead skin cells and remove vellus hairs, also known as peach fuzz, at the same time!
The result of dermaplaning is much smoother skin. This makes your skincare products penetrate even better, and makeup applies much more flawlessly.
Chemical peels
Those who want more transformative results to combine with a DiamondGlow can go for a chemical peel. This is a stronger form of exfoliation than dermaplaning, which uses professional products to exfoliate the skin.
At our medical spa in Cincinnati, we offer a few options for chemical peels that range from light to deep exfoliation. Deeper chemical peels will require a bit more recovery for your skin, but the results are worth it!
Tip: You can also get a chemical peel on your neck or hands to improve the skin on these delicate areas.

Is there any downtime afterward?
There is minimal to no downtime after your DiamondGlow facial treatment. You can get back to your daily routine immediately afterward. We recommend taking extra care of your skin during this time as it may be a little sensitive, so practice safe sun and wear sunscreen and make sure you don’t get excess sun exposure.
