Meet the dedicated team at Dr. Amy Brenner and Associates, a group of skilled providers committed to women’s health, integrative medicine, advanced aesthetics, and personalized patient care.
Dr. Amy Brenner
MD, FACOG, ABAARM
I was born in 1969 in Youngstown, Ohio. Marilyn and David Brenner worked hard as teachers to earn a living and raise their 3 children. Having a science teacher as a father led to many childhood science experiments. I remember making our own erupting volcano and watching the embryonic development of an egg into a baby chick. I loved science! My mother taught me how to teach others, with understanding, compassion, and uncompromising standards of excellence. She is my inspiration as I instruct other physicians in the very latest gynecological and aesthetic procedures.
Perhaps my greatest influences in becoming a physician were my parents. Who would have thought that my childhood interests would turn into my lifelong passion?

Starting this Practice
In 2011, I decided to go for my dream and open my own practice. I’ve created my practice to be a reflection of who I am. It’s a place to feel safe and comfortable, be open and honest and receive information and exceptional care. I also didn’t want to pass out prescription drugs many of which lead to undesired side effects. I wanted to treat my patients with a more holistic, natural approach. I welcome you to my home away from home.

Dr. Jennifer Thieman
MD, FACFP
I spent my childhood in a small town called Hinckley, in the suburbs of Cleveland. As the oldest of four, I learned responsibility and accountability early on. From a very young age I knew that I wanted to pursue medicine based on my love for science, however, this idea became solidified my sophomore year at Miami University when a dear friend of mine was diagnosed with testicular cancer. I had experienced healthcare on a professional level, but now I was forced to confront illness on a personal level. From that day forward I set my sights on a career in medicine.
I earned my Medical Doctorate from the Ohio State University in 2004. Yearning to experience life in a big city, I moved to downtown Chicago to complete my residency in Family Medicine at Saint Joseph Hospital/University of Illinois at Chicago. Eight months after moving to Chicago I met my husband, Andrew. We are the proud parents of our daughter, twin sons, and golden retriever. I am board certified in family medicine and a member of the American Academy of Family Practice since 2007.
Prior to joining Dr. Amy Brenner, I spent five years as a family physician for a private practice in Western Springs, IL. As much as I enjoyed seeing patients throughout the lifespan, my passion lies in women’s health care. I look forward to the opportunity to gain your trust and confidence, and help you look and feel your best by providing care of the highest quality.

About Me
Melissa Berg is a graduate of the Xavier University Family Nurse Practitioner program. Upon completion of her degree in 2016, she was a full-time Nurse Practitioner at Mercy Anderson’s Emergency Department until joining Amy Brenner MD & Associates. Prior to going back to school to become a Nurse Practitioner, Melissa was a pediatric ER trauma nurse at Nationwide Children’s Hospital in Columbus, Ohio. These opportunities exposed her to patients of all ages, complaints, and acuities of illness, allowing her to experience a broad range of providing medical care. Now, she is excited to focus her skills and energy into what she is most passionate about – integrative care, women’s health, and overall wellness.
Melissa is motivated by personalizing patient care plans to each individual. She gets enjoyment out of spending time with her patients to explore their specific needs and coming up with creative approaches to meet and exceed their expectations.
Fun Facts
Outside the office, Melissa enjoys spending quality time with her husband Ken and their three children Taylor, Keaton, and Carson. She currently lives in Mason, Ohio and loves outdoor activities, traveling, going to the gym, taking walks in the park with her two golden doodles, and of course, shopping!

Her dream to practice in this specialty where her true passion for work lies is what brought her to Dr. Amy Brenner’s team.

Jessica Dayton
FNP-BC
About Me
Jessica is a Family Nurse Practitioner that graduated from Simmons University in 2019. Upon finalization of her degree, she was a full-time Nurse Practitioner in addiction medicine taking care of patients with a wide range of substance use disorders. Prior to getting her Nurse Practitioner degree, Jessica spent most of her 9 year nursing career in critical care. Working in critical care let Jessica work with a wide range of chronic health diseases. This work led her into finding her niche of wanting to work with patients before their problems become critical.
In her personal life, Jessica had her own health issues that were due to a gluten sensitivity and recently found out her child had an overgrowth in her gut which led her to want to find a solution rather than symptom management. Jessica is motivated to treat the whole person, not simply a symptom. Her goal is to create a positive and knowledgeable atmosphere between her and her patients. Through this personalization she is able to listen and truly understand them and their illnesses. These ideals are what prompted Jessica to join Dr. Amy Brenner and her team!
Fun Facts
When Jessica isn’t working, you can find her spending time with her husband, Brandon and two daughters, Harley and Halle. As a family, they love to spend time fishing, hiking, and anything outside. In her own time, Jessica enjoys planting and gardening a variety of flowers, herbs, fruits, and vegetables. She also loves to read and listen to podcasts any chance she gets!
