Clitoral Hood Reduction, also known as Hoodectomy or Clitoropexy, is a cosmetic gynecologic surgery to reduce the skin surrounding the clitoris. The clitoris is located above the vaginal opening, its sole function is to improve sexual pleasure in women. This skin covering the clitoris is referred to as the clitoral hood.

Refined Clitoral Hood Reduction
Dr. Brenner has refined the in-office Clitoral Hood Reduction in Cincinnati using the ProNox (inhaled nitrous oxide) device and microtumescent local anesthesia.
Clitoral Hood Reduction is typically performed with local anesthesia and oral sedation; IV sedation is also available, if preferred, in our AAAASF accredited office surgical suite. Benefits of local anesthesia include decrease risk of complications from general anesthesia, quicker recovery and cost savings.

Ellman Surgitron
Dr. Brenner utilizes the Ellman Surgitron, a unique instrument that has a cool tip, so thermal damage to the underlying tissue is able to be minimized or even eliminated.
Step 3.
Precise Cutting
The Surgitron is unparalleled in its finesse and no-touch technique. The Ellman Surgitron provides superior precision and cutting (compared to a scalpel), less thermal injury, thereby promoting faster and less painful healing.
Step 4.
Self-Dissolvable
All sutures used in Clitoral Hood Reduction are self-dissolvable and disappear within 6 weeks. Individual or interrupted sutures are used. Many other surgeons use a running technique to save time, this leads to a scalloped appearance to the incision line. The procedure takes approximately 60 minutes.
Side Effects
Expect to spend the one to two days following the procedure on bed rest. You can expect minor swelling and pain in the area for up to two weeks.

If I could give a 10 I would! I had a labiaplasty, hood reduction, and perineoplasty in Feb (I’ve been meaning to write a review since). My only regret is not doing it sooner. If you are thinking about this, just do it already. I know it is pricey, but Dr. Brenner is amazing! I can’t say enough good things about Stephanie!! She was so helpful and always responsive to my emails. I never once felt pressured to purchase. I will say, I was very sore for much longer than I personally anticipated (not that they didn’t prepare me because they did).
