This extremely safe peel can be used more frequently than the other peels without much risk for irritation. Facial redness, or erythema, post-peel should subside in a few hours. Light peeling may be seen for the next few days.

If you get salicylic acid peels for active acne, you might experience some post-peel purging. As the acid exfoliates away the surface of your skin, it brings clogs you have underneath closer to the top, which may erupt as more active pimples. We recommend repeating the peel weekly until achieving the desired results. Results are cumulative and optimal benefits are seen with a series of three or more peels.
