Why We Add Carboxytherapy to Microneedling for Enhanced Results
One of the newest treatments at Amy Brenner, MD & Associates is carboxytherapy, a gel applied to the skin after treatment to promote healing and enhance your results.
However, our absolute favorite combination treatment this fall is carboxytherapy + microneedling!
Read on to learn more about the best microneedling add-on available in Cincinnati.
How microneedling works
Microneedling is a treatment in which our medical provider glides a handpiece gently across the surface of the skin to help create “microchannels”. This process kickstarts the skin’s natural healing process, stimulating collagen and promoting the production of new, youthful skin cells that rise to the surface.
In addition, inside of these microchannels, we can deliver specialty serums, radiofrequency waves, or (you guessed it) carbon dioxide for added benefit.
Adding carboxytherapy after microneedling
Also known as a CO2 Lift, carboxytherapy encourages the skin to produce more oxygen anywhere we apply it. This helps with the healing process after a treatment, meaning it will help your skin look better, quicker! Essentially it stimulates blood and lymph circulation to the area and improves circulation, which helps skin elasticity, fine lines and wrinkles.
The best part? It’s completely injection-free, which means:
- It does not require in-office treatment, so we can send you home with carboxytherapy for at-home use in your post-care routine.
- It is safe for all skin types and tones.
- It can be used on its own or combined with other med spa treatments for enhanced results.
For microneedling patients looking to improve skin texture, carboxytherapy is the PERFECT microneedling add-on. It increases the skin’s hydration by about 117%!
