During your consultation, we will explain to you how Botox® works, how long Botox lasts, what to expect with the treatment and any potential side effects. Our physicians will ask you to make a variety of facial movements, like squinting, scowling, raising your eyebrows, and smiling, to determine a customized dose of Botox based on your areas of concern, the strength of your muscles, and your desired results.
Everyone is different. First, we will create an individualized treatment plan tailored to your specific goals and the size, shape and strength of your facial muscles.
Step 2.
Inject
After the areas are determined and properly cleansed, one of our providers will inject BOTOX® into the predetermined areas.
Step 3.
You're Ready to Go!
After your injections, BOTOX® starts working its magic on its own. On the day of your injections, we request that you do not apply direct pressure, lie down, or exercise during the first 4 hours after your treatment. After that you may do anything you please!
Step 4.
Results
Patients may begin to notice results within 72 hours of the injection, however, it takes 7 to 14 days to see the full effect of Botox® in Cincinnati. We highly recommend a follow up visit 2 weeks after your injection to ensure you love your results! Results typically last 3 months. In order to best prevent facial wrinkles from forming, we recommend you return for your next injection before full movement is noted in the treatment area

How old do you have to be to get BOTOX®?
Our goal is to help you look your best, naturally. Whether you start in your mid-20s to prevent facial lines from ever forming, or you are working to maintain a more youthful appearance as you enter your retirement years, we have a customized plan to meet each patient's needs.
Is there downtime?
After treatment, there is essentially no downtime! There is no surgery and no recovery time. Injection sites may be red for a few minutes and small bruises occur rarely. We advise patients not to lie down, apply direct pressure, or exercise for the first few hours after treatment.
Does it hurt?
Patients report injection discomfort of 1-2 on the 1-10 pain scale. It feels like a quick pinch. The needles used are very small, 3/8 of an inch (the same size as an insulin needle).
Will my face look "frozen"?
No. We aim to reduce and rid wrinkles when you make a “mean-face,” scowl face, etc. Treatment will not rid you of the ability to make most expressions. We consult with you before treatment and discuss your desired results in depth. Our goal is to achieve a natural look with our patients.
How much does it cost?
In our practice, we individually customize the dose. Cost is dependent on which area and how many areas you would like treated, as well as the number of units necessary to achieve desired results.
Can anyone perform TheraTox™, NasalTox®, or MicroTox®?
No, these techniques should only be performed by trained certified injectors.
Can TheraTox™ help slim traps?
After treatment of TheraTox™ for traps, you may notice your neck appearing longer due to the relaxation of your traps.
